Now that you have read the entire article, answer the following questions:

- What is the purpose of creating a vacuum?
- What does a transistor do?
- How did transistors replace vacuum tubes?
- According to the article, in what year did the number of internet users exceed 1 million?
Step Two
Level Two:
After having read and viewed the above articles and video, answer these questions:
What is a thesis statement?
Step Three.
Level Three:
What did you learn?
1. Ask yourself these questions: What are the three most important facts? Why did you choose these three?
2. Choose three highlights from the information you researched and create a thesis statement.
3. Incorporate that statement into an introductory paragraph.
- Summarize the need for inventing the computer.
- Explain the influence Alan Turing had on computers.
- How would you estimate the impact of the invention at Bell Laboratories in 1947?
- Summarize the impact of WWII on the computer.
